1. Where can I purchase the card?

2. How does the card work?

The card is a prepaid card that carries an amount determined by the purchaser of the card at the time of purchase. The card can be used to purchase goods and services everywhere that Visa debit cards are accepted. Each time the card is used, the amount that is spent will automatically be deducted from the remaining balance.

3. Are there places my card doesn't work?

The card can not be used for gambling purposes, at ATM machines or to get cash at bank branches.

4. Why do I need to register my card?

It's necessary to register your card in the event it is ever lost or stolen. This helps us identify you as the cardholder if there are any unauthorized transactions, and enables us to send you a check for the remaining card balance. In addition, your Card must be registered if you wish to use it for online or telephone purchases. Online and telephone purchases often require that the "billing address" for your purchase matches the address on file for your card.

5. Is the card a credit card?

No, but since there is no PIN with the card, se1ect "credit" rather than the "debit" or "ATM" if you are prompted by a merchant's terminal.

6. Can I add funds to the card?

No, additional funds cannot be added to the card.

7. What are the fees for the card?

There are no fees to use the Card.

8. Where do I find the card's 3-digit security code?

The 3-digit security code is located on the back of your card next to the signature panel. Please see image in the My Account link for more details.

9. Can I use the card internationally?

Your card can be used internationally at merchants that accept Visa ® debit cards. Please note that transactions in a foreign currency may incur additional fees. If you have any questions please call us at 1-866-466-0079. Please note that our phone number will ONLY work when dialed inside the U.S.

10. What are the Gift Card Terms and Conditions?

The Chase Gift Card Agreement is provided with each card at the time of purchase. This agreement can also be viewed online at www.chasegiftcard.com/index.cfm?pageid=g07.

11. Is a statement issued for the card?

No. The current balance and purchase activity can be obtained online for free at our website http://www.chasegiftcard.com, or by calling us toll-free at 1-866-466-0079.

12. What if I need to return an item?

Each merchant has its own return policies and will handle the returns in the same manner as any other Visa transaction. They may credit your card, provide a cash refund, or issue a store credit.

13. What if a transaction is denied?

This may happen if the card's available balance is less than the transaction amount. You may inform the merchant of the remaining balance on the card and use another form of payment to pay the difference, subject to the policy of the merchant.

14. Can a hold be placed on my balance that exceeds my transaction amount?

Some merchants - for example, restaurants, hotels, spas, beauty salons and cruise lines - add a small amount to the transaction when you present your card because the final amount of the sale is not yet known. The additional amount could be added to cover tips or incidental expenses. In these cases we will temporarily reduce your available balance by the amount of the transaction plus the additional amount provided by the merchant. However, only the final transaction amount we receive from the merchant will be deducted from the actual card balance - usually within 3 business days. Also note, a transaction could be denied if the transaction plus additional amount exceeds the balance on the card.

15. Does the card work at gas stations?

Yes, the card can be used at the self-service pump.

16. Does the card have an expiration date?

Yes. It expires at the end of the month listed on the card.

17. What happens if there are still funds available when my card expires?

You can redeem the remaining balance on the card by calling us at 1-866-466-0079 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

18. What happens if my card is lost or stolen?

If you have registered your card, you can redeem the remaining balance on the card by calling us at 1-866-466-0079 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

19. What if the card is used for unauthorized transactions?

Immediately report any unauthorized transactions by calling us at 1-866-466-0079, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. As long as you report your loss promptly, previously registered your card, and assist us in researching your transaction(s), you will not be responsible for any unauthorized transactions.
